Credentialing & Vetting of Teachers

At Bluewave, we take the credentialing and vetting of our teachers extremely seriously.

As outlined in the Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education (DfES January 2007), Bluewave complete the following checks:

Identity Checks
List 99 Checks
Checks on Qualifications
Right to Work in the UK
Verification of Professional Status - GTC Registration & QTS
Criminal Convictions Checks
Overseas Trained Teachers (OTT) : It is compulsory for all Bluewave OTT to carry with them a recent CRB check from their country of origin.

All documents obtained from the teachers are retained on their personnel file and copies of all checks are forwarded onto schools prior to the teacher starting.
