| Hi everyone!.....I have just (mins ago) applied to teach in the UK. I am from the caribbean and interested in teaching in the UK. I have been to the UK twice ( 2 summers) before, on vacation using my working Holiday Maker Visa. I hear that this visa can only be granted once so i am wondering if i will have any problems getting the visa or is it easy for a school to sponsor my work permit? Also, i want to take my husband and baby..is it smooth transition?..someone please share ur experience..i am excited!!! |

You are correct that you can only do the WHMV once in a lifetime . . . but as far as how hard or easy it is for each of us to get a sponsored visa, I'm afraid we're just teachers and can only speak from our own experience. For me, it was quite quick and easy.
As far as the transition and such, there are lots of posts here on that topic, as well as blogs you can read regarding the move, and also settling in and teaching here. That would be the best first step: read, read, read!
Best of luck! |
