UPDATE!!
I just found out that I got the summer job at the Junior Centre in Reading... :-) I'm just chuffed to bits!! Instead of leaving in August, I'll be moving over at the end of June and if I don't have a job by then, then I reckon I can bombard as many schools around Reading as I can with CVs and enquires!! |

| Congrats!!! How fabulous! And to be there you can actually send out CVs and whatnot! Yay! |

Congrats! That is so exciting! I've though about applying for a working holiday makers visa and doing the same thing, but my fingerprint process has been taking ages, beginning with the fact that no one around here does rolled fingerprints any longer, but I finally found an officer who was willing to do it. Its on regular paper, so I'm afraid they won't accept it since no one carries the fingerprint cards.
Anyways, that is awesome, it will be nice to be in the area and what not. I haven't heard anymore about the prospects yet, but I'm hoping, the schools are in the Essex area and all rural so I'm excieted about that, but still just an hour from London so not a long commute at all for all the museums and what not. Good luck to everyone! |

Scattering Poet, congrats!
JessD82, I've forgotten where you're from (you mentioned not being able to get cards or prints done easily?). |

English Teacher,
I live in a very small town about an hour outside of Youngstown, Ohio. One of the teachers I sub with has a husband who is a police officer who offered to do my fingerprints, but they had no fingerprint cards so I just did it on the paper I printed out and I'm afraid that won't be allowed for the purposes so I need to find a number to call at the West Virginia FBI offices to see. Any ideas on that? Everywhere around here does electronic prints now so its been a bit difficult. But no word back from the school yet, though I'm hoping!
How is everything going elsewhere? |
