Hello,
I just graduated from college in the states and have always wanted to teach in the UK. I was never sure how to go about it until i stumbled across bluewave. This sort of gave me a new ray of hope - but does it actually "work?" I know there are testimonials on here, but does this actually boost your chances of getting a job over in the UK? I'm sure hoping so!

Testimonials are all well and good, but read the forum here -- that's all you need to answer your question.

'Boost' your chances of getting a teaching position here? How else are you going to get a position? I'd say your chances are just about nil doing it yourself. I suppose you could write to mountains of schools, send resumes, call, try to arrange telephone interviews, with them wondering why you aren't using an agency (maybe people with questionable credentials are on their own, with no agency support?). The magic of BW is that they check everything out ahead (our credentials), and then offer us to the schools -- easy for both teachers AND schools! That's why the agencies are doing what they're doing, and why so many of us use them. And it's FREE for teachers -- what more could you ask?

Unfortunately, lots of people leave the forum once they get a job and get settled, so you may not hear too much. A few of us have hung on, to help 'newbies' along.

Anyway, as you'll read in the posts, lots of us are teaching here thanks to BW (and lots of new jobs this month, so more to join us!) . . . I'd still be in America without them!

Get signed up! It may be a bit late this year -- I made that mistake the year I signed up with BW. So I had to wait til the next year to get my position. But it happens!

Good luck!
