I've recently met a new teacher in my town, who came through 'another agency.' We keep joking that maybe she's the first person they ever placed, but as they are a large agency who has been around a while, seriously, we think not, but it would seem it. She's having a dreadful struggle with all aspects . . . they didn't help with anything except getting her the job. That's it -- then they dumped her. I keep reminding her that if she knows of other teachers who are interested in coming over, tell the Bluewave is the only way to go! They take care of everything (well, except doing te job for you!). Oh, and BW, she'll be getting in touch with you soon to register for next year (she's stated out in a one-year position).

Now I'm nervous...I have a different company, but will want to jump to London soon (as I have friends there). I hope it works out for myself and the other teacher...people at my school seem nice (via email). English Teacher, I'd like to be invited to your blog so I can read up on the start-up information you had. Can we do this? I leave on Tuesday, so I'd like to prepare as much as I can...

in the end, i did not use Bluewave, however, i have had no problems with my organisation... the day i got into england (which was about 2 months earlier than most of the other teachers and during the busy hire/find people time) i had a text from the lady i'd been in contact with since january... they also, whilst i was doing my summer job, helped with finding a place to live and all that.. so, all smiles from my agency right now..

having said that, i can believe that there might be some pretty crappy teaching orgs out there.. i hope everyone is coming in to england alright... only about a week and a half left of freedom..

english teacher- i tried to get on your blog the other day (it'd been ages since i last did and it said i needed to have my email accepted by your or something.. i'll prolly just email you, anyways..)
