How is everyone doing over here in the UK? Half term is almost upon us and I can't believe how fast it's gone! I'm loving my school, and my hospital scare has made me love my co-workers even more! Any other updates?

Hospital scare? What happened? I found the hospital here "feels" like something out of the 1950s, but it was a great place for catching up on a lot of reading. Not exactly the kind of experience I'd wish on anybody else though. You're alright now, correct?

I'm glad you're loving your school. My co-workers are the real reason I stayed. People are just so nice and supportive over here. And school is going GREAT for me this year...I mean I still have the normal amount of trials but not like last year.

Year 2 and loving it. Seriously see this as a long term change of Zip!

Ta everybody,
Meli

Hi guys! I'm having a good day so far today so my post should have a nice upbeat feel to it! I was dreading my morning of year 10 classes and then they turned out to be having a good day and the dread was all for nothing. I still feel overwhelmed when thinking about the lessons, but a bit less than to begin with. Years 8 & 10 are the hardest at my school, and I have the most lessons with those groups. My year 7, 9 and 12 classes are lovely and I really enjoy seeing them 3 times a week.

The staff are really nice, there are two other NQT's and we have a little English support group for ourselves. The lady in charge of KS3 is wonderful, if you ask her for something you'll find it in your pigeon hole within an hour, or by the end of the day max!

I've made plans for half-term break to go to Paris, however, those plans may now be in jeopardy because my friend who is an OTT from Australia has lost her passport! Wish us luck! Glad to hear everyone is doing well.

I feel like it is going to be so hard to make a decision about staying or leaving at the end of the term. For those who are in their second year was it a pretty easy choice? Or did you find it difficult?
