What are the dates for summer break?

| I am a US teacher thinking about transferring to the UK. The only thing that is holding me back is that I am going to grad school in the summers. The grad program runs from the second week in June through the first or second week in August. I read that summer break in the UK is only eight weeks. My question is, which eight weeks? Would it fall into the same time frame as my grad school program? I only have twelve credits left, plus my thesis, but I would like to make a change in schools this coming year and would like to head to the UK if possible.

Most schools that I am familiar with in the UK (including my own) start either mid last week of August or mid first week of September so I think you'd be alright for moving based your schedule.
It would of course be nice to move at least a week ahead of time to get on the proper time schedule, get your NIN appointment done with, go to the school and set up classroom things.
