Hello all. I have been teaching computers and business education for nearly five years. I am certified as well as being certified in teaching gifted students. In addition, I also maintain all the technology in our school and manage a student technology team.

Does anyone know how is technology in UK schools? Also, do you know what the payscale is for someone with experience like mine...hopefully you have similar or more. I'm just not sure that 26,000 pounds in going to be enough to entice me to move.

Help, please! Thanks.

I have a friend who works in a new academy just outside London and the facilities sound amazing!! They have a new building and everything is state of the art. There are laptops available for students (and teachers), smartboards in every classroom, resource centres throughout, dance and drama studios, etc

My school is a few years old but the facilities are still really good. The technology was beyond anything I had experienced but I am an English teacher!

Thank you wondercj. It sounds like some UK schools have their act together when dealing with technology. I hope I have the chance to experience this myself.
