Hi my name is Linda. I'm Australian and I plan to live and teach in the UK in 2007, hopefully from the start of the school year. I was hoping to avoid doing relief work in London, finding a medium sized primary school somewhere in either east or south east England to work in. I was hoping to stay at the one school for about a year, but I keep hearing that wont happen. You're there, maybe you could give me your oppinion and advice.

It really depends Linda. Primary work (long term) is more difficult to find over here as there is not a shortage of Primary teachers. Therefore the majority of work available is supply/day to day. However, I know that it does happen sometimes. I have a friend in South London who has taught in a primary school since September last year. If you find an agency who specialise in Primary you should be able to find something.
