I am a Maths teacher who has been in England for the last 3 years, originally from Cameroon. I have a M.Ed from a British university and I am now looking for a teaching position. However, I have been unsuccessful at this stage. Any advice or tips?

Are you registerd with agencies? How long have you been registered and actively looking for a position? If you have been searching for a long time, and no interviews, I would ask your agencies if they can offer any advice about what you could do to be more successful.

If you are NOT registered, that's very helpful -- I would consider it if I were you.

I think Maths is the biggest shortage subject in the UK - I'm surprised you are having problems, I agree with "English Teacher"

Hi,

Maths is an area of need. Have you posted with Bluewave and the like? If not, do so because it REALLY does help. As long as you are flexible about possibly having to relocate you shouldn't have much difficulty finding a position.

Good luck.
