Can I please ask if the administration at your school is so unsupportive, how do you survive? Is it changing with the introdcution of a new principal and the development of the new campus? How do you and your colleagues get through the week if your discipline back up is non-existant?

Well, it is tough to say the least. The turnover rate at this school is extremely high. We have already had five-six teachers leave. The new principal is better-equipped and taking some new steps that are helping. It is indeed a challenge to teach here!

Hi there,Be prepared to be still and be the grown up even if they call you names (at least once a day on bad weeks)
at the end of the day, they are only kids!

Im no stranger to tough kids. I have taught at a co-ed school in Frankston (Out skirts of Melbourne), Australia for the past 5 years. The only reason Ive survived is the support of colleagues and the fact that Ive stayed and built a reputation/relationship with the kids. I would need to know that any school I went to was prepared to support its teachers in their disciplinary actions. does this happen?
