Kirshon's information
I have been teaching for the past three years and have been enjoying the experience. I view teaching as an opportunity to inspire students to maximize their potential and empower them with the relevant skills and attitudes to lead productive lives. Therefore, in the classroom, I guide my students through the learning process and am no longer the authoritarian figure who solely imparts knowledge. My students are generally highly motivated and maintain outstanding performance. During my tenure at Bishop\'s High School, some of my students have won national scholarships for their outstanding performance at A Levels and I am indeed proud of others whose worthwhile contributions to society reflect the values that I have instilled in them.
I strive to ensure that I address the needs of my students and therefore use a variety of teaching methods, as well as evaluation and assessment tools. Curriculum integration assignments have been a tremendous success and students have been motivated as a result. As my students and colleagues will attest, I am very committed to my profession and always work on building healthy, meaningful relationships with my students. My professional identity continues to be reshaped as I gain a clearer understanding of my role as a reflective practitioner and my influence on students (future leaders).
