Katie's information

Newly Qualified Trained teacher and recent graduate from Marist College, in New York. I have had experience in both general education and special education classrooms working with students ages 5 through 11. I am also familiar with the English school system, as I studied abroad in London last year.

I am also familiar with SMART boards and used them daily student teaching placement.
As an aspiring teacher, I have been afforded numerous opportunities to explore the teaching profession. Since my freshman year of college, I have been given the chance to be a part of a classroom environment. Studying abroad my junior year offered another teaching opportunity in London, England. From all of my placements and fieldwork, I have been constantly in the classroom and have come out with great confidence for teaching. I have worked with students in a one on one setting where I’ve helped develop skills in reading and mathematics.
