Jaclyn's information

I have completed eleven years in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA. I have 15 years teaching experience and a Master’s Degree. Working with young adults is what motivates me. I strongly believe that education is the basis for success in all societies. As a teacher in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, I was part of a team who wrote the curriculum. I evaluated courses and initiated changes to accommodate the school. I have been a part of the Maryland initiative to develop our own new teachers through the evolving of a Teaching Academy for high school students. As a department chair for four years I have been responsible for evaluating, mentoring and hiring new teachers. Our department has grown from two to five teachers in the past two years so this has been a major undertaking.
