Teaching Biography

Greg's information

I recently graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Secondary Education. I majored in Family and Consumer Sciences and minored in School Health Education. I did my student teaching in two separate high schools. I completed 8 weeks of teaching in Mason High School (MI), where I focussed on Family and Consumer Sciences. I completed another 8 weeks in the daVinci Institute, which is an alternative school (for students who have been removed from mainstream schooling) where I focused on my Health minor. After I graduated, I went back to daVinci and I was the long-term substitute teacher for my classroom for the remainder of the school year. I feel that both of these experiences have dramatically affect me as a teacher in many ways. I look forward to the many challenges that my first teaching job presents.

Besides teaching, I am also passionate about coaching. I played several sports throughout high school and college and I have already begun to put the knowledge that I obtained to use in coaching. I have been an assistant coach for several teams in several different sports.

Teaching is what I look forward to each and every day. I cannot wait until I get my very own classroom so I can start establishing relationships with my students and affecting their lives in a positive way.
