Kris's information
My primary teaching background has been focused on Food Technology, which includes Nutrition, Culinary Arts, and all types of food preparation. I supervised and trained students in a restaurant setting, as well as a catering and baking facility. Students were then placed in food service jobs, and actually were paid while still receiving high school credit.
I also have a variety of teaching experience in Child Development, including supervising a Pre-School on our high school campus, where students developed the curriculum and received college credits, as well as working as a Nutrition Coordinator for children 2-6 in a government program called Head Start.
I have taught all the courses listed above, and feel very confident in my skills to create interesting lesson plans, using a variety of techniques so students remain engaged throughout my lessons.
Respect is my top priority when it comes to relationships in the classroom, and will not tolerate anything less. I also am caring and understanding for all students, and feel I am an excellent choice when it comes to instruction.
