Daniel's information
My greatest teaching strengths are maintaining fairness, communicating with parents, dedication to administrative policies, reaching out to the “outcast” students, and content knowledge. Students and parents have constantly lauded my ability to maintain fairness in the classroom; my stoic demeanour has facilitated my classroom mantra of being a teacher that is firm, fair, and consistent. I believe that teachers and parents are partners in the education process. As part of this partnership, it is absolutely necessary for constant communication. I have always been an advocate of frequently sending emails and making phone calls to parents. As a teacher, I also understand the need to enforce and regulate any administrative rules and mandates. As a teacher, I am the first line of defence for the administration on these policies. For whatever reason, my personality meshes well with shy, introverted, and students that have been made into outcasts. I have consistently achieved success in reaching out to these students and often filling in as a mentor to some of these students. Finally, I have a genuine passion for the field of social studies; I am always researching the most up to date information for my content area. As part of my zeal for the subject area, I enjoy the challenge of trying to get students to enjoy and experience my passion for field of social studies.
