Sharon's information
I enjoy working as a member of a team and take an active interest in what is happening within the school. I volunteer time and have experience developing and running after school programs such as an ICT Club, Craft Club and an Environmental Club. As mentioned earlier, along with being an effective classroom teacher I have experience acting as a Curriculum Coordinator for ICT and running a school network system. I am an Interactive White Board technology specialist and have experience integrating ICT within the curriculum. Having experience in both Key Stage One and Two, I have experience with SAT’s preparation and writing, and also have undertaken 2 successful OfSTED inspections. I believe in working with the Head teacher to build a strong and successful school, through following policies and procedures set down by the Governing bodies. Being involved in middle management in the past, I am capable of writing policies, reviewing and tracking progress of a curriculum area.
I love teaching and also learning. I am constantly evolving my educational back ground to improve my teaching ability. Recently finalizing my thesis for my Masters in Education in IT, I have undertaken an Action Research Project which uses the internet to improve research skills in Key Stage Two Children. Recently certifying as a Special Needs Specialist in Ontario, I am a confident practitioner who has experience working with a variety of exceptional children.
