Mohanie Devi's information
I am the head of department for Business studies and Economics at my present school, which is a government school. In addition to my daily responsibilities as head of department I also teach grade 10, 11 and 12.
My nature is such that I enjoy a challenge and constantly needing to extend my boundaries. I am positive that the experience I will gain will be of tremendous help in improving some of the methods that I used currently. It will allow for my skills to develop further and allow for a different view of the teaching world to be discovered.
I would like a school that has a culture of learning. A school that has structures, protocol and procedures in place so that one knows what is expected of oneself. A school that is willing to try new approaches, an environment that pushes all boundaries in ensuring the learners reach their true potential. A school that has the latest technology in terms of teaching aids. An environment that allows the learners to develop physically, mentally and spiritually thus ensuring when they leave, they go out into the world and become shining examples and great leaders.
