Nelendree's information

I am currently a 3rd term VIF teacher in the USA. I teach 7th grade Math in the Middle School. I have been teaching for 25 years. I obtained my Teachers Diploma in 1982(Math and Physical Education) but went on to complete a Further Diploma in Education (Math). I also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree on a part time basis majoring in Education and History.

I have had experience teaching almost all the subjects from grade 4 to 7 in South Africa. I have also been a Head of Math and Science Department in South Africa for 5 years before coming to the USA. I am able to coach girls’ volleyball, netball and mini-cricket. I enjoy organizing sporting events and activities for the students.

Teaching internationally has helped me grow personally and professionally. Teaching in the USA has been a learning curve in my profession. I have had the opportunity to enroll for the Masters in Education (Educational Leadership). This study has been a very rewarding experience in my teaching and to my students. This degree will be completed in July 2008.
I am a very flexible person and I am optimistic in life. I enjoy challenges, can adapt easily and I am enthusiastic to teach in a new country. I am happy and energetic. I have high expectations of my students and motivate them to do their best.
