A summary of my qualifications and intentions. A seasoned arts educator with over six years of teaching and gallery experience. Possessing a background in both arts administration and administrative protocol and curriculum design.

My philosophy on education is that a teacher should help facilitate and guide the students learning process. The teachers role is to engage the students in active learning, where eventually they become the master of their own learning and want to learn, grow and develop. As an art educator, I feel my role is to give the students the tools necessary to develop the visual language that is art and make connections between art and the other subject areas, such as Language arts and Math. I also feel it is key to help foster a safe and creative learning environment.
