Trent's information

I have always been interested in working within the schooling system with my strengths of communication and sporting interests. Teaching has been a natural progression for me and since qualifying in 2003 I feel I am a well rounded Teacher with a good rapport with both students and staff. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education, Minor in society and Environment and a Specialisation pathway in Drama.
I believe it is important to have many different teaching styles in your repertoire, so that in each specific classroom dynamic the most appropriate approach or style can be used. I strongly believe in fairness and equality, and that all students should feel safe and free to learn. With regard to behaviour management strategies I like to use the simple philosophy of “public praise and private reprimand.” I aim to teach for the rest of my life, and in future continue to study a Masters at university, yet before I do I would like to have a long serving contract with a supportive school in the UK starting in September 2008.
