Jessica's information
I am graduating with a bachelors degree in Speech Pathology. I have my initial teaching certificate and am working on achieving my permanent certification. I have experience working in a bilingual 1st and 2nd grade classroom, and teaching ESL skills to both children and adults. Last year, I was giving private speech therapy sessions to paying clients, as well as those students in the community. For the past 3 yrs I have been an active participant in America Reads/writes and taught an ASL class. This fall semester, I also traveled to London to take an internship at Kings College Hospital in the stroke ward. I worked with patients who have dysphagia, apraxia, aphasia, and disarthria. I have proven my devotion to this field and am always interested in finding ways to further challenge myself and expand my knowledge.
