John's information
I came to teaching as a second career after practicing law for fifteen years. In 1996 I entered seminary to prepare
for Christian ministry. After seminary I was called to ministry in a small Congregational church in Fort Kent, Maine,
USA. Serving the church on the weekends, I have also taught at the college and high school levels since being in
Fort Kent.
Since 2000 I have been part time faculty at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, teaching law classes. I have been
teaching high school social studies full time at Wisdom Middle/High School since 2001.
My responsibilities at Wisdom have included US and World History, Geography, Art History, Philosophy,
Psychology, Civics and Law. Extracurricular activities have included coaching the Mock Trial team and the Chess
team. I have served as an adviser to the Student Council, the Student Leadership Team and the Youth and
Government Club.
