Lane's information
I believe that when students and teacher share a community where learning in the focus, benefit is gained both for the students and the teacher. When students are allowed and expected to inquire, investigate and seek out information, they not only learn the material, they learn how to seek for themselves.
After I graduated in 2006, I stepped into a full time band program. While running a grade 6 to 12 band program , I learned how do develop young students and challenge older students. What I learned most about teaching 180 different children is that my decisions had a dramatic effect on students, parents, and the community. During my contact, I learned how to plan tours, meet with a parent board, meet with administration, and plan concerts.
During my practical experience at University, my most enjoyable moments were teaching children from grade one to six. I believe that is where my heart truly lies. Given the opportunity to teach music to young children would really be a dream come true.
