Kimberly's information

I am currently finishing my first year as a Reading Coach at Allapattah Middle School, an inner-city school serving 650 students. In this position, I provide ongoing professional development to instructional staff by modeling lessons, providing observations, and sharing structured feedback.

It is also my charge to write and align the Language Arts curriculum to state standards and to serve as a literacy advisor for the school. Before accepting this promotion I taught for two years in the English department at Booker T. Washington Senior High, a nearby inner-city school serving approximately 1,400 students. During this time I taught English 2 (literature and writing) as well as an intensive reading intervention course for struggling readers.
