Our teachers find that getting a good teaching job and coming over to England is surprisingly easy. It can also happen very quickly so we ask that you're serious about coming to England before you register - or contact us if we can help answer any questions. Initially, the application process for teachers seeking work is largely done through our website, although we have a great deal of experience in overseas recruitment and are always available by phone or email to help you. We always return calls and respond to emails promptly.
Step By Step
- You register with Bluewave
- We contact you to discuss opportunities
- We activate your profile and market you to schools
- We arrange telephone interviews with headteachers
- The school makes a formal job offer
- We assist with your Visa
- We help you to relocate as smoothly as possible
Using your ´profile´ to connect you to suitable schools
An important part of our marketing of you is to ensure that schools have a complete "picture of you" this goes beyond the conventional black and white CV which is rarely enough to get schools interested in you. For this reason, we ask you to upload a photo as well as some key documents onto the website (CV, certificates and references). These are available for schools to see as part of your on-line ´profile´. This requires a bit of investment in time from you, but once done the rest is down to Bluewave!
You can see what other teachers profile look like by going to the schools looking for teachers section.
Getting started and registering with us
The first step is registering with us. Here you can enter your brief details and up-load most importantly, your CV and Photo. If you have collated the other documentation too, you can upload these at the same time.
Your profile at this point in time cannot be viewed by others. Once we've looked through your documentation and had a chat with you about what you're looking for we will up-load your profile so that it can be viewed by schools. When a school wishes to interview you for a position, we will contact you directly to see if you're interested in the position and make arrangements.

Bluewave International - "Connecting teachers and schools". That pretty much says it all. I was looking for jobs overseas on my own and was not having much luck finding job openings or getting interviews for a place I wanted to teach. I found Bluewave by accident and registered on a whim and to pass the time during the job search. Low and behold I got a call from England the next day to enquire about my availability and to get some background information on me, and to inform me of what the job search process was going to entail. I put all my trust into Bluewave and their services and I do not regret it. Bluewave arranged for my pickup and accommodations for when I arrived, this was amazing as it left one more detail that I did not have to worry about. Even when I arrived and began to get settled I got calls from Bluewave to make sure everything is going ok. This is great, I feel like I had yet another safety net if I absolutely needed one.
I am very happy with Bluewave's help because I really think it made a lot of the initial paperwork and things like the work permit and visa a lot more stress free. Bluewave is thorough and helpful, and really seems to care about the teacher making this huge move. Just feeling like someone understands the nervousness and the importance of this decision is nice, since there are not always lots of people in the same situation as I am to talk to. Bluewave was very helpful and very patient with me and my questions, and I never felt like I was bothering them when I'd email twice in one morning with concerns. This transition to a new school in a new country has not been without its rough patches, but knowing that there is so much support has made it much easier. I don't feel like I was just dropped into this new system without warning- Bluewave's 52 page booklet was great. I re-read a lot of sections more than once!
