Criminal Convictions Clearance

It is compulsory for all teachers to possess a recent (last 3-6 months) Criminal Records Clearance. As part of our credentialing we are by law required to obtain the original or certified copy of this clearance before you start working for a Bluewave School. I therefore urge you to make your application immediately, as it can take up to 12 weeks to have these returned to you.

We cannot emphasise enough the importance of this document. In the event that we have not received this certificate then we are unable to allow you to start working and we believe that this could be extremely stressful in the event you have travelled half-way around the world ready to start work.

To help you have this document ready for your arrival we have collated a number of links to help you to start the application process:

Teacher TestimonialSo you're considering teaching in England? That's a great move. I have taught in Ghana and Canada and now teaching in England, thanks to the impeccable process Bluewave International took me through. I contacted at least four agencies and was working through the processes with them. I can't remember how Bluewave completely whisked me off my feet. They went fast on everything step. Before I knew they had contacted my references by email and had reference forms sent to them electronically. Bluewave was so meticulous and worked dedicatedly from getting the school to arranging interviews, guiding me through obtaining the working visa, arranging for the best pay for me, made sure they knew my travel plans, arranged for my pick up from the airport, arranged for accommodation (if I didn't have one), gave me a mobile phone, provided information for me to settle in comfortably and still keep on checking on me from time to time to see how I'm doing. How much did I pay Bluewave? Nada!! I bought a gift for some of the agents, but I can't even find them to give the gift out. They work like angels in the air, if you believe in angels. I will stick out my neck to recommended Bluewave to any teacher who wants an international teaching experience, or even wanting to migrate to teach in England (and I believe the will do same for all other countries where they have established their hold) Now for you who want to employ the services of Bluewave: Gather all of your documents, because when they start, there is no stopping till they get you there. You can help yourself by gathering all the necessary information they will require from you.

Teacher TestimonialThe process of obtaining a teaching position in England was fairly straight forward. I saw a teaching job website that indicated there were loads of maths teaching jobs available in the UK. I sent an email to Bluewave and they promptly answered my email with a phone call. After looking at my CV and transcripts they called me back and asked If I would like to talk to a particular school and when I replied yes Bluewave contacted the school and told them it was ok to call me. After a phone interview with the school, they offered me a maths teaching position. While getting a teaching position was painless, acquiring a work visa for the UK was quite a hassle. The UK consulate requires many documents and most have to be originals; transcripts, bank statements, birth certificates, passport etc. The staff at Bluewave were very helpful in helping me through this process. Between the time I accepted the job and getting my work visa, Bluewave was always there to answer any questions that I had or just for moral support during my transition. After teaching in the UK for 3 months I am glad that I have done it thus far. The teaching is challenging and rewarding, most UK students appreciate their teachers. The travel opportunities are many and the breaks during the year afford teachers time to explore Great Britain and the rest of Europe. I have been to Paris, Edinburgh, London and Liverpool in the short time I have been here. I recommend anyone considering teaching in England to give it a shot, especially if you have the support of Bluewave international behind you.
