Our Service to Teachers

  • We specialise in recruiting overseas-trained and British-trained teachers for Secondary Schools across England
  • We have positions across most subject areas and are actively recruiting now
  • Our service is FREE for teachers and includes everything from 'phone interview, visa assistance and local arrival arrangements

At Bluewave we specialise in finding secondary trained teachers positions in English schools. The UK is experiencing a shortage of teachers across many subjects and we have great opportunities for talented teachers at all levels of experience. Our service is free for teachers.

We don't just focus on London, but work with schools across England; from smaller rural schools in the Northern countryside to schools in busy towns, in the Midlands and of course London if that's where you want to be.

Once you register, we call you to see what you're looking for and to discuss current opportunities we have amongst our many client schools.

We use our website to present you to schools. We build a profile of you and this is then available to schools across the country. Schools with suitable vacancies are able to contact us and we can arrange for a telephone interview between you and the school. Prior to the interview we will supply you with information on the school.

Finding you the right teaching opportunity is the easy part. What makes our service really distinctive is the way we look after you during the process from your application to when you arrive and start at the school. We will assist you with relocation and provide a friendly voice on the end of the phone if things get tough. We never forget our teachers and maintain regular contact with them, until they chose to leave the Bluewave family. Bluewave has an array of services for teachers, this includes arranging visas, UK bank accounts, initial accommodation, UK mobile phone - the list goes on. Whether you chose Bluewave or not, make sure your agency looks after you!

If this sounds interesting, and you'd like Bluewave to assist you in securing a secondary teaching position then please register. It all looks a bit impersonal at this stage - but when we get your application, we will call you to have a chat about what you're looking for and the opportunities we have. We have a policy of straight-forward honesty, and will tell you if we think we can help you or otherwise.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bluewave

Testimonials

Teacher TestimonialI am very happy with Bluewave's help because I really think it made a lot of the initial paperwork and things like the work permit and visa a lot more stress free. Bluewave is thorough and helpful, and really seems to care about the teacher making this huge move. Just feeling like someone understands the nervousness and the importance of this decision is nice, since there are not always lots of people in the same situation as I am to talk to. Bluewave was very helpful and very patient with me and my questions, and I never felt like I was bothering them when I'd email twice in one morning with concerns. This transition to a new school in a new country has not been without its rough patches, but knowing that there is so much support has made it much easier. I don't feel like I was just dropped into this new system without warning- Bluewave's 52 page booklet was great. I re-read a lot of sections more than once!

Teacher Testimonial I live from weekend to weekend- I will NEVER take a weekend for granted again! I would like to encourage any teacher who is thinking of teaching in the UK to very seriously consider using Bluewave to assist them in the process. I have never dealt with a more efficient, professional and friendly group of people in my teaching career. I joined them in March 2007 and was teaching in September of the same year. The process was made as painless and easy as possible. You are never left out of the loop, as they keep you up to date all the time as to what is going on. They were able to deliver on everything they said they would, and they make you feel as though you are the only person that they are dealing with. After arriving in the UK, they still take an interest in you and keep up with what is happening in your life. I cannot think of any other company who would do that for you. My advice to any teachers thinking of teaching here is, yes it is tough and no walk in the park, you may need to change the way you think about teaching and you may find it difficult in the beginning, but if you prepare yourself before entering the school and the class you should enjoy it. It's a steep learning curve, but a very rewarding one, and remember to ask for help if you seem bogged down, the teachers I have dealt with are more than happy to help you when you need it.
